Hecate is the tripple moon goddess (maiden, mother, crone) from ancient Greek mythology. She is the goddess of magic, witchcraft, the moon, night time, and necromancy. She is mostly depicted holding torches, keys, snakes, and accompanied by dogs. Even though Heckate resides in the Underworld, she was given power over heaven, earth, and sea. Hecate is known for assisting Demeter in her search for Persephone, guiding her through the night with flaming torches.
